This is a “state of the art” 32-bit resolution seismic digitizer, designed on latest technology. It has three or six analog channels, and extremely high resolution, especially in higher sampling rates from 250 to 1000 samples per second (sps). The effective resolution is 23.7 bits at data rate 250 sps, providing dynamic range greater of 138db. The effective resolution is even greater at lower sampling rates, and the effective resolution equals close to 32bits when sampling rate is lower of 10sps.

The recorder is based on a latest technology 32bit ARM type processor. The hardware is totally customized for the instrument and it does not uses third party embedded hardware.

Total power consumption is extremely low, only 0.6W, allowing it to operate for long period, powered from a small 7.2Ah Lead-Acid battery. CoRE32 format data files are recorded directly to FAT32 removable microSD flash card. Timing is provided trough a very accurate DPLL unit getting synchronized from a GPS receiver. The drift is extremely low (4*10-9sec) when GPS is off, but it can periodically be on and synchronize the DPLL. The digitizer provides also real time data streaming in parallel with local (microSD) data storage, trough the serial port, or Ethernet port, or wi-fi spot.

Additionally, the ARM processor is able to provide real time signal processing, estimation the P & S wave arrival times. The recorder is able to transmit this information over the serial port or Ethernet via a telemetry link to the central acquisition PC. Near real time processing of this information gives hypocenter location view.

The digitizer is ideal for micro-cracking monitoring, hydraulic fracturing monitoring, micro-seismic monitoring and other applications that high resolution and high dynamic range is required.

The 32bit Digitizer/Recorder pairs with our ultra sensitive & ultra low noise sensor S-400. The sensor body has been designed in order to house twin or quad geophone strings per axis. The orientation follows the 3-axis principle. This sensor has external diameter only 50mm allowing it to be installed into small and shallow boreholes, hence reducing the cost of installation. Smart clamping tool guarantees proper contact into the well, and easy installation / un-installation.
